Bandit Tricking is a defensive technique used to stop Attackers from opening reinforced walls. Instead of placing every Shock Wire during the Preparation Phase, Bandit keeps one available and listens for the enemy hard breacher.

How Bandit Tricking Works
Start by reinforcing the wall you want to protect, then position yourself close enough to place a Shock Wire quickly.

Listen carefully for hard-breach gadgets being deployed on the other side.

When you hear the placement sound, immediately electrify that section of wall. If timed correctly, the electricity can destroy the breaching device before the wall opens.

This is especially useful against Thermite because his Exothermic Charge must be physically placed on the reinforced surface.

Watch for Thatcher and EMPs
Experienced Attackers will often combine hard breachers with EMP utility.

If an EMP temporarily disables your Shock Wire, don't immediately abandon the wall. Wait for the effect to end and prepare to place another battery when the Attackers attempt their next breach.

However, staying directly beside the wall also makes Bandit vulnerable to vertical attacks and Frag Grenades.

Don't Electrify Everything Immediately
Bandit Tricking depends on keeping utility available.

If you place all your Shock Wires during setup, you lose much of your ability to react to the Attackers' breach attempt.

Players who frequently use Bandit may also collect different R6Skins for his weapons and Operator appearance.

Know When to Leave
Don't die just to keep a wall closed.

If Attackers gain vertical control above you or begin applying several forms of pressure simultaneously, retreat and prepare to defend the site instead.
